Standards and Documentation Database
Database was created by Lloyd Wedes, MLS. Director of Library Services at DeVry University Library, Houston. Funding for this individual project was made possible through The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The Standards and Documentaion database is primarily in English with some German and French. A tutorial on how to use it may be found here.

National Institute of Standards and Technology
NIST's Measurement and Standards Laboratories, the Electronics and Electrical Engineering Laboratory (EEEL) conducts research, provides measurement services, and helps set standards in support of: the fundamental and practical physical standards and measurement services for electrical quantities; the fundamental electronic technologies of semiconductors, magnetics, and superconductors; information and communications technologies, such as fiber optics, photonics, microwaves, electronic displays, and electronics manufacturing supply chain collaboration; forensics and security measurement instrumentation; maintaining the quality and integrity of electrical power systems; and the development of nanoscale and microelectromechanical devices. EEEL provides support to law enforcement, corrections, and criminal justice agencies, including homeland security.
Electronics Associations and General Database
Codes, testing, standards, licensing, associations, and more.
Electronics Components Association
Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), ECA/EIA provides a forum for industry to develop standards and publications in our major technical areas: electronic components, consumer electronics, electronic information, telecommunications, and Internet security. The department also administrates the Standards and Technology Policy Council (STPC), a body of member companies that explores how emerging technologies potentially will affect segments of the electronics industry.
Association Directory
List of Associations for electronics professionals.
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
The mission of the international nonprofit NFPA, established in 1896, is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating consensus codes and standards, research, training, and education.
Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA)
The Society publishes nearly 100 varied technical publications, and works cooperatively with related organizations on a variety of programs and in the production of jointly published documents and standards.
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
Through its global membership, IEEE is a leading authority on areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power and consumer electronics among others.

National Electrical Contractors Association
NECA has provided over a century of service to the $130 billion electrical construction industry that brings power, light, and communication technology to buildings and communities across the United States. NECA's national and 119 local chapters advance the industry through advocacy, education, research, and standards development.
National Electrical Installation Standards
National Electrical Installation Standards (NEIS) are performance standards for electrical construction. They go beyond the minimum safety requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC) to define what is meant by installing electrical products and systems in a "neat and workmanlike manner."
